Our posts are engineered using a unique configuration of fused boards to create a single beam reinforced in every direction. We are the only vendors offering this engineered beam, which we cut and drill to your specifications for cable railing systems.

Maintenance for Balau wood is very minimal. We recommend the occasional sweeping and hosing down to keep your wood frame clean and suggest the use of oil treatment to preserve the rich color and moisture of this exotic hardwood. Balau can be left untreated if desired, and will gradually silver and soften in color when exposed to UV rays.

If you only want a wood top rail, you might be more interested in our Ipe Top Rails. This wood species is visually and structurally similar, but with deeper and more marbled coloration. If you would prefer a lighter wood, we offer Alaskan Yellow Cedar and Western Red Cedar, the latter of which has matching Posts.
