The European style jaw turnbuckle is the tensioning end of our
European Jaw Assembly. This cable tensioner attaches through eyelets, eyebolts, drilled post tabs or flat metal bars. Offering a short, wide, minimal jaw, this cable end allows vertical rotation for slope and stair connections. The turnbuckle is most commonly used in welded steel and architectural handrail systems, but can be integrated into any railing that fits its dimensional requirements.
Specifications:
- Use with 3/16" cable only
- Holes must be large enough to accommodate the 0.3" diameter pin
- Metal bar or post tabs must be thin enough to fit between the jaw walls, which are 0.43" apart.
Attach the turnbuckle to your cables using our
3/16" Cable Crimper and
3/16" Cable Cutter or have us crimp it for you through our

Note: Stainless Steel is highly resistant, but not impervious to the elements, and requires minimal maintenance for ideal results. We recommend applying
Passivator to all exposed stainless steel components at the time of installation. In addition, apply
Rust Rescue if within 10 miles of a marine environment to further protect the stainless steel. Learn more about these products and general stainless steel care on our
Cleaning & Maintenance Page.
